Hyderabad: Techies all praise for traffic cop
Our seniors told us that not only men, but women also should perform traffic duties and we said we are ready.
Hyderabad: IT employees were all praise for trainee traffic constable Banuth Badramma, 24, who keeps the traffic moving at the DLF junction in Gachibowli.
Ms Badramma who joined the polcie a month ago was posted to the Gachibowli traffic police station. She told this newspaper, “We received a week’s training from Gachibowli traffic inspector T. Narsing Rao and then we picked up on our own.”
She said, “I joined in the summer and it was a bit difficult initially, but it is our duty to clear the traffic and we are trying our best. Our seniors told us that not only men, but women also should perform traffic duties and we said we are ready.”
Mr Anumod Alex Thomas an IT employee from Financial District, who travels on the road daily, said, “She was bit nervous for the initial two days and after that we were amazed to see her.” He said Ms Badramma is on duty from 8 am to 2 pm and works in a very disciplined manner. “There is no traffic jam because of the way she handles traffic,” he said.
