G Kishan Reddy returns home for first time to huge rally

Hyderabad: Union minister of state for home G. Kishan Reddy received a tumultuous welcome from BJP partymen on Friday on his first visit to his home city after taking charge.
Mr Reddy, who is on a four-day visit, was received by party workers on arrival at about 6.30 pm at Begumpet airport and taken to the BJP state party office at Nampally in a massive rally.
TS BJP president Dr K. Laxman, Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay and others participated in the rally, which ran behind schedule due to the crowds that had turned up..

Mr Reddy's fans from Kakinada offered mammoth him a ‘Kakinada Khaja’. Mr Reddy thanked everyone for his electing him as MP from Secunderabad after his loss in the Assembly election from Amberpet. “I owe my life to the people who voted for me. I will do justice to my post, which was offered by the party,” he said.
Mr Reddy will go to his native village of Timmapur to pay homage to his mother who died recently and then proceed to Tirumala. On Sunday, he will take take darshan at the Lord Balaji temple along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and participate in various programmes. On Monday, Mr. Reddy will take out a padayatra in Amberpet and Sanatnagar, participate in the core committee meeting of the state party unit and hold a review meeting with civic officials. He will leave for Delhi on Tuesday.
