Police began searching records and surveillance reports to identify whether the handler is among the already identified suspects in the city. Intelligence Bureau sleuths said there are several sleeper cells in Hyderabad that have to be busted.

Meanwhile, NIA found that recently arrested terror suspect Amir Ibrahmi Yazdani had used the Mee Seva centre where his brother Ilyas Yazdani was working to mail the oath to IS chief Abu Bakar Al-Bhagadadi in Syria.

Sources in AP police said that Irfan and the other terror suspect stayed in Anantapur Nandi Residency lodge for two days. NIA collected records about their stay. “A person from Bengaluru was supposed to meet them in Anantapur to hand over explosives and money. However, he didn’t turn up. So the duo returned to Hyderabad,” the source said.
