AP police asked to submit affidavit on Padma issue

The bench directed the AP to file the counter affidavit explaining the facts of the case.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Friday directed the AP police to file an affidavit on a habeas corpus petition seeking to direct the AP police to produce Ms. K. Padma, leader of the Revolutionary Women Movement.

A division bench comprising Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy and Justice M.S.K. Jaiswal was hearing the petition by Mr S. Suresh Kumar a practicing advocate of the High Court stating that the Greyhounds team of AP has picked up Ms K. Padma at 2 pm of July 3, at Chennimalia railway station in Tamil Nadu and till date the police has not produced her before the court.

The bench directed the AP to file the counter affidavit explaining the facts of the case.
