NSUI Hyderabad chief attacked near Amberpet

HYDERABAD: The city unit president of National Students Union of India (NSUI) was attacked by a few unknown persons on Kachiguda-Amberpet Road on Friday. A case has been registered at the Kachiguda police station. Earlier in the day, elections were conducted for various posts in the city unit of the union at Gandhi Bhavan.
Police said the attackers fled immediately from the spot. “The complainant could not identify the attackers. He also did not mention any names. We are trying to identify the persons behind it,” said Kachiguda inspector K. Satyanarayana. Another small skirmish was reported outside the Gandhi Bhavan in the evening. “We have registered petty cases against the attackers,” police said.
