UTNOOR (ADILABAD): It is three years now, but the ITDA’s governing body meeting has still not been held to discuss the problems faced by the people under its jurisdiction. The last meeting was held on July 31, 2016.

Actually, the ITDA’s governing body meeting has to be held every three months to resolve the problems faced by the tribals and for the effective implementation of the government schemes for the empowerment of the Tribals.

It is a surprise therefore that there was no sign of conducting the governing body meeting even after completion of the sarpanch, MLA and MP and ZP elections with the people’s elected public representatives.

But it is time now for the elected representatives to discuss and debate the issues pertaining to the problems faced by the people in old Adilabad districts that come under ITDA, Utnoor.

There are serious issues like health, education, farmers’ problems, implementation of welfare schemes, land-related problems related to RFOR and other Tribal-related issues.

It may be recalled here that the district officials have been telling the people that they can’t address their problems and give promises to resolve the problems faced by the people in the agency areas, especially because election code was in enforce from sarpanch elections to ZP elections.

The same officials promised the people that their problems would be resolved just after the completion of elections.
