Rajahmundry: 3-year-old dies, relatives ransack clinic

Rajahmundry: Tension mounted at a private hospital when family members of a three-year-old boy, who died while undergoing treatment, ransacked it at Tadepalligudem in West Godavari on Wednesday.
According to police, V. Rambabu and his wife Rajeswari brought their three-year-old son Jaswanth Naga Sri Sai suffering from fever to Durga Nursing Home on Tuesday.
Dr Subba Raju attended the boy and gave treatment. The couple brought their son again on Wednesday morning and evening. The boy started vomiting and had difficulty in breathing.
His health condition deteriorated further. When the hospital authorities tried to give him oxygen, he breathed his last.
Piqued by this outcome, his family members attacked the hospital and damaged some furniture. Based on a complaint from boy's grandmother V. Lakshmi, police booked a case under section 174 of CrPC and investigation is on.
Meanwhile, Dr Subba Raju said that the parents brought the boy suffering from viral fever and during the process of treatment, he died.
