IAF prepared to fight at short notice if need arises, says Air Chief Marshal
On October 5, Dhanoa had said that the IAF was capable of fighting a two-front war in full synergy.
Ghaziabad: Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa, on Sunday assured the nation that the Indian Air Force (IAF) was prepared to fight at a short notice if the need arises.
"On behalf of all air warriors, I assure the nation of our sacred resolve in defending the sovereignty of our skies. Notwithstanding the pace of the ongoing acquisition, modernisation, indigenisation effort and our desire for peace, we are prepared to fight at a short notice if the need arises," the IAF chief said, while attending the celebration of the 85th anniversary of Indian Air Force at the Hindon Air Force Station at Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad.
The IAF chief also stated that the force was acquiring multi-spectrum strategic capabilities and will remain committed in building a joint manship with the Indian Army and the Navy.
A series of amusing air display was organised during the event.
