Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said he has the highest regard for Indian culture and traditions.

Referring to the controversy over the beach festival in Vizag, Mr Naidu said, “Ours is the greatest of cultures and I will never do anything that may cause damage and defame it.”

“Some people are creating unnecessary controversies over the Vizag beach festival” the CM said, accusing the Opposition of doing politics of obstruction.

Justifying the beach festival, he said Vishakhapatnam got recognition with the International Fleet Review and Investment Summit. He added that the beach festival was helpful in promoting innovative ideas and in turn promoting the city.
