GUNTUR: Over a month after they lost their only son due to alleged negligence of his school management, a couple committed suicide by hanging from the roof at its house at Ravindranagar here on Sunday.

Vamsikrishna, a Class IX student, died on November 22 due to illness and alleged negligence of management and principal of Chaitanya Techno School, Guntur.

His parents and the suicide victims, N. Chandrasekhar, 47, and Naveena, 38, got into depression. The Nallapadu police had booked a case against Chaitanya Techno School for not sending the student home or giving him proper treatment after he got fever.

Relatives alleged that Vamsikrishna fell ill on November 12, so Chandrasekhar brought him home. After he was healed, Vamsikrishna went to the school. Again he fell ill, but the school management reportedly brought an RMP to treat him, instead of informing his parents.
