TRS MPs go for land, Narendra Modi asks for sweets
The MPs said that TRS had 17 MPs in Parliament and were eligible to get 1,000 square yards land in Delhi to construct a party office.
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took Telangana Rashtra Samiti MPs who had gone to meet him by surprise, as he asked them for sweets to celebrate their party’s massive win in the state.
“TRS won with a big majority in the Telangana assembly elections, but you did not give me sweets,” Mr Modi reportedly told the MPs.
TRS MPs K. Kavitha, A.P. Jithendar Reddy, B. Vinod Kumar and others had gone to meet Mr Modi on Monday evening and requested them to allot land in Delhi to build a party office. To this Mr Modi replied, “You distributed sweets to all ministers and MPs to celebrate your victory, but you did not give me a single sweet.”
They assured him that they would bring him special Pulla Reddy sweets. Mr Jithendar Reddy said that he would bring sweets made of jaggery and cashew.
The MPs said that TRS had 17 MPs in Parliament and were eligible to get 1,000 square yards land in Delhi to construct a party office. They requested a vacant parcel of land on Rajendra Prasad Road in Delhi for the same.
