17 medical students test Covid positive at Kakatiya Medical College

Hanamkonda: Seventeen medical students of the Kakatiya Medical College (KMC) had reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 in Hanamkonda district on Saturday. All students had been vaccinated twice.

College principal Dr Mohan Das said that the medicos were exposed to patients during the course of their work and were getting infected with the Coronavirus.

Initially three students were infected As they did not show symptoms, they thought that it might be seasonal cough and cold. It was after they went for a test and were found to be positive that the other students also underwent tests.

Most of those who tested positive went to their homes while the remaining were shifted to hostel rooms of first year students which are vacant.
