Hyderabad: Three BRS MLCs have lodged a complaint with Legislative Council chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, objecting to reported remarks of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy calling some MLCs “real estate brokers” during a television interview recently.

The MLCs – M.S. Prabhakar, Desapathi Srinivas, and Surabhi Vani Devi –said that the Chief Minister had described the Council as an ‘Irani cafe.’ These comments constituted a breach of legislative privilege, brought disrepute to the Council and “caused insult, humiliation, and mental agony,” to the members, they said. They urged Sukhender Reddy to refer the matter to the Privileges Committee for redressal.
