KTR is an educated illiterate, says BJP leader Rakesh Reddy
The BJP government is giving double this amount to Telangana, remarked BJP spokesperson A. Rakesh Reddy.
WARANGAL: “IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, who commented that the Central government has allotted for Telangana, lesser amount than what the film Bahubali has managed to collect, is an educated illiterate because, in the Indian film industry, 2,000 films are produced per year and collect about Rs 15,500 crore.
The BJP government is giving double this amount to Telangana,” remarked BJP spokesperson A. Rakesh Reddy.
Speaking to the newsmen here on Thursday, he listed out how much Telangana is receiving this year. “From the Central taxes, the state is receiving 16 per cent more than the previous year that means Rs 19,600 crore. Another Rs 15,000 crore grant will also be given. Apart from these, Rs 10,000 crore towards implementation of Central government schemes is also allotted to the state,” he observed.
He further ridiculed KTR saying though he is speaking a lot about the film Bahubali, their government has failed to provide jobs to as many people who have worked for that movie.
“Mr KTR does not agree that the BJP is a national party. Is he blind to the fact that it is in power in 19 states? A party has received complete majority after a span of 30 years,” he noted.
Mr Reddy questioned what KTR has done so far as the municipal minister. How much did he work to ensure good roads in the state? The village panchayats have not been receiving enough funds at all. He said the state has promised Rs 300 crore for the development of Warangal but so far not even one rupee has been provided.
“The state government fails to spend even 60 per cent of its budget, whereas the Central government is spending 105 percent. Such government has no right to speak about the BJP government,” he said.
