Hyderabad: No meeting at Chanchalguda Jr College ground

Hyderabad: South Zone police has denied granting permission for a public meeting scheduled to be held on Friday at Chanchalguda Junior College ground by organisations belonging to the Deobandi school.

President, Greater Hyderabad Jamiat Ulema Hind, Moulana Mufti Abdul Mughni Mazaheri, said DCP South zone Amber Kishore Jha had requested them to cancel the programme.

He said that a few people belonging to the Sufi sect were approaching the police and pressurising them against issuing permits to those belonging to other schools of thoughts who were arranging meetings.
