Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee calls for poll applications

Interested candidates can send their applications from February 10-12.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has speeded up the process of selecting candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections following criticism from own party leaders.

TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy called for applications from those interested in contesting the upcoming elections from the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. Interested candidates can send their applications from February 10-12.

After receiving the applications, the Pradesh Election Committee, appointed by the Congress high command will scrutinise them before sending it to the AICC. He said that the candidates should send their complete biodata along with the application.

TPCC has decided to conduct preliminary preparation meetings for the Lok Sabha elections. The meetings will be held at Gandhi Bhavan on February 11 and 12. On February 11, meetings will take place with the new District Congress Committee presidents, media coordination committee, publicity committee, campaign committee and coordination committee.

The Pradesh Election Committee meeting will be held on February 12.

AICC on Friday announced that city Congress leader Deepak Jan has been appointed AICC data analytics regional coordinator.

The Congress high command has summoned Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy and Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. Both will leave Hyderabad for Delhi on Saturday.
