Fight kidney disease: Pawan Kalyan
Pawan Kalyan questioned what the state had gained from celebrating World Kidney Day every year.

Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan questioned what the state had gained from celebrating World Kidney Day every year on March 9, for the past 21 years. Mr Kalyan said 50,000 villagers of 120 villages from seven mandals are bedridden with kidney disease while thousands others are dead.
On the occasion of World Kidney Day, Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday in a press release said the same is the situation even in Kanigiri. He also said people in the age group of 20-40 are falling a prey to kidney ailments and had to pay '8,000 per month for the treatment. Mr kalyan demanded a separate organisationto be formed for fighting the disease, with stringent plans.
