Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has “assured” parents of engineering student Jishnu Prannoy, found dead in suspicious circumstances at Nehru College, that the State Government had initiated steps at the Supreme Court to revoke the bail for Nehru Trust chairman P Krishnadas.

Ms Mahija, Jishnu’s mother, told reporters after meeting Mr Vijayan here on Wednesday, that she felt “quite contented” because the Chief Minister had given a patient listening to her specific grouses connected with Jishnu’s death.

Main demands include action against local police officials, who had collaborated in the destruction of evidence and those who had manipulated the autopsy, especially the PG student, who conducted the post mortem.

The college officials, suspected of involvement in the student’s death suicide, should be arrested without further delay. Also sub inspector Jnanasekharan, who worked “an agent” of Krishnadas, should be brought to book. The SI tried to help Krishnadas, who had assaulted another student, Shoukath Ali, by booking him under frivolous charges.

Ms Mahija and other relatives said they met the CM to clear some misunderstandings. “Jishnu held Pinarayi in high esteem, so he could our house at any time of his choice”, said the relatives.
