Hyderabad: The management of Saritha Vidya Niketan School, located at Padmavathi colony, Hayathnagar has apologised for putting up a lucky draw scheme ahead of the admission process.

In a letter to Deccan Chronicle, the management said, “Our intention was to promote merit and competitiveness among students. Our school runs only on the service motto and gives quality education. Admissions to the school are never a problem. We are sorry for this mistake and would make sure that this will not be repeated in future.”

The Deccan Chronicle on March 7 had published a article on the school holding a lucky draw to seek admissions.
