Deputy commissioner of police (Traffic) A. Ranganath said, “Various groups have given us representations for processions on the same day. The processions of Hazrat Ali’s birthday and Hanuman Jayanti are among these.”

“We have assured the respective groups that traffic will be regulated but the general traffic will be allowed without any diversions. If the procession is long, then the general traffic will be halted for a while. If there are any gaps in the processions, we won’t be halting the general traffic,” he said.
