Hyderabad: Power cuts at Jubilee hills today

The change in equipment is to meet future load demands at Jubilee Hills and surrounding areas.

According to sources, the Water Board has not been paid by 2,000 defaulters including government wings and public sector undertakings ven after issuing notices and giving several representations.

Hyderabad: The areas of Erragadda, Jubilee Hills and Shivarampally could experience power interruption on Sunday due to works being carried out to replace the existing aluminium conductor steel reinforced conductor (ACSR) with a high-temperature low sag (HTLS) version. The change in equipment is to meet future load demands at Jubilee Hills and surrounding areas.

The TS TRANSCO in a statement on Saturday, said he 132-KV Chandrayanagutta – Jubilee hills double circuit line, which carries around 120 MW is set for a planned overhaul on Sunday from 6am to 6pm. Officials said the current-carrying capacity of the line will double without laying of a new transmission line.

TRANSCO officials said that during the shutdown, some of the 33KV feeder loads will be diverted to alternate sources and the remaining loads, of around 85MW of 132 KV at the Jubilee Hills substation, will be fed by the 132 KV feeder at Shivarampally.  There may be a possibility of overloading of the 132 KV Erragadda–Jubilee Hills feeder and the 132 KV Shivarampally–Erragadda feeder. TRANSCO officials said that all the possible options are being considered to keep line loads under control.
