Tech student, GHMC employee hurt in mishap at Kukatpally

The guidelines issued by the Supreme Court Committee on road safety had asked the Telangana government to ensure free treatment for road mishap victims in private hospitals.

Hyderabad: A final year engineering student and a GHMC contract employee were injured seriously in an accident at Kukatpally early on Saturday.

The mishap occurred when they lost control of the scooter they were riding. The victims are D. Ajay Kumar and Ankith Kumar.

Ajay Kumar was studying final year mechanical engineering at Hitam Engineering College, while Ankith was a contract employee with GHMC.

On Saturday night they came to attend a party at Kukatpally and after that they were returning home on their scooter.

When they reached Kukatpally Y Junction, they lost control over the scooter and rammed into a divider. The duo suffered serious injuries and were admitted to a private hospital.

Hospital sources said that both of them had internal injuries in the brain and are critical. However, no case was registered.
