Kottayam: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Monday said the LDF government had nothing to hide on the masala bond and the entire transaction was transparent.
He said here that the CDPQ is a Union government-recognised company and the instrument had the RBI permission.
He said that Congress was levelling allegations and making this issue controversial to torpedo development.
"The CDPQ has over the US $ 220 investments across the world. Even in India, the company has invested nearly US $ 4.5 billion, which comes around Rs 3,100 crore," he said. He refuted the allegations against CDPQ's links to the SNC-Lavalin, stating that there was no need to check its investments in other entities.
