YSRC nominee threatens to withdraw

Rajahmundry: YSR Congress nominee for Amalapuram Parliamentary Constituency Chinta Anuradha threatened to sue those who were spreading misinformation campaign against her stating that she was withdrawing from the contest.

Rumours spread in a section of media that the YSR Congress nominee Chinta Anuradha was withdrawing from the contest when the polling was scheduled to be held on April 11 due to some reasons. As they went viral, YSR Congress nominee condemned them and lodged a complaint with the East Godavari joint collector and Amalapuram returning officer Dr A. Mallikarjuna seeking action against those involved in such act. The RO learnt to have issued necessary direction to the police to take up inquiry on it.

YSR Congress nominee Chinta Anuradha said, “When we are busily involved in campaign with just one day to go for its conclusion, some people mainly from TD or Jana Sena, started misinformation campaign on me stating that I am withdrawing from the contest.

As I am going to win the contest from the segment, some people unable to digest the fact, have started to confuse the voters hoping to get some advantage. I have lodged a complaint with the RO seeking stern action against the culprits.”
