Empowering NCBC will help to redress grievances of OBC employees
The Association members felicitated Mr. Ganesh Singh, MP, and also the members of the Parliamentary Committee on welfare of OBC.
Chennai: The recent move by the Centre to empower the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) by giving it constitutional status will augur well for the well-being of the OBC employees.
This has been one of the long pending demands of the National Confederation of OBC Employees Welfare Association which thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving constitutional status to NCBC by converting it as National Commission for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (NCSEBC). “We the serving employees belonging to the OBC category have been demanding the government of India for the past 25 years to empower the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) by giving it constitutional status in order to ensure suitable power and authority to redress the grievances of the OBC employees,” said K. Danasekar, general secretary, C. Sethupathi, president and S. K. Kharventhan, honorary president.
In a letter sent to the PMO, they said by conceding to the demand for empowering the NCBC, the PM has truly risen to great heights in the minds of the OBC people and touched the depths of their hearts. “This gesture is a great milestone in the OBC and social justice movement and a red letter day in the history of India. So, we the downtrodden, minorities, OBCs and SC \ STs will always tender our solidarity to the NDA government led by your good self for your selfless action taken towards our upliftment,” they said.
They also thanked Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawarchand Gehlot and Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Welfare of OBCs Ganesh Singh, for the support and speedy action and this significant initiative.
The Association members felicitated Mr. Ganesh Singh, MP, and also the members of the Parliamentary Committee on welfare of OBC, at a function held here, for the efforts taken towards the constitution of 123rd amendment bill providing constitutional status to the NCBC.
