It will include mainly plastic, paper, rubber, tin and other recyclable raw material. The GHMC has proposed to set up 50 such centres in the city. This is being done to achieve 100 per cent solid waste segregation.”

ITC has initiated an all-out waste campaign with the help of the GHMC.

The company staff has begun a campaign on wet- dry waste segregation. For this they have appointed community resource personnel, each of which covers 1,000 houses. They educate residents about waste segregation at house level.
