TPCC demands cancellation of TS-ECET exam
TPCC alleged that the TS-ECET exam held on Saturday was conducted in a most dubious manner.
Hyderabad: Alleging that the TS-ECET exam held on Saturday was conducted in a “most dubious manner”, the Congress on Monday demanded the government cancel the test and order a probe into the bungling in conducting exams in offline and online modes.
Congress spokesperson Konagala Mahesh said the exam that was supposed to start at 2 pm on Saturday, actually began at 7 pm and several examination centres could not conduct it in online mode due to Internet connectivity. They held the test in offline mode, which is against the rules, Mr Mahesh said, adding that this gave rise to suspicion that the paper might have leaked.
“How can the government justify holding examination five hours after the scheduled time, while students were not being allowed to enter the examination centre if they were late by even one minute for all other competitive examinations?” he asked.
Accusing the government of being unable to hold exams in the state “flawlessly”, Mr Mahesh said the Eamcet-2 question paper leak of last year. He said it was all due to callous and negligent attitude of the Higher Education Council officials who gave the examination contract to fake companies.
Saying that one APTECH was selected by the Council and it failed to conduct exams properly, Mr Mahesh demanded action against those responsible and justice for the 25,000 students who took the exam.
