Adilabad: Food left over from wedding kills three kids, 20 in hospital

Among them, 15 were sifted to RIMS, Adilabad for better treatment.

Adilabad: Three children died and 20 elders fell sick in Kothapalli- Kolamguda in Narnoor mandal on Wednesday due to food poisoning.

The villagers fell sick after they ate the leftover food that was cooked and served at a marriage function on Monday.  

The deceased were identified as Sidam Ayyu, 6, Sidam Chintu, 2, and Kodapa Muthu, 14 months of Kolamguda village.

The 20 persons who fell sick were shifted to the Government Hospital and are undergoing treatment in Utnoor.

Among them, 15 were sifted to RIMS, Adilabad for better treatment.

Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) project officer Krishna Aditya, DSP Dawid, deputy DMHO Vasanth Rao visited Narnoor where the victims were first treated and enquired about the incident. Adilabad DMHP Rajiv Raj visited the Utnoor Government hospital and enquired about the condition of the patients.
