University of Hyderabad scholars put water tubs for birds, animals
There is a need for sufficient water for the survival of these animals to in the summer heat.
Hyderabad: With lakes and small ponds drying up due to the summer heat inside the campus of the University of Hyderabad, research scholars have arranged drinking water tubs.
There are more than 200 species of birds, mammals and reptiles inside the campus.
There is a need for sufficient water for the survival of these animals to in the summer heat.
With the recent incidences of deers jumping over to the other side in search of food and water, senior faculty of the varsity created a proper set up for basic water for these animals.
Water tubs where water can be stored for atleast two to three days at a stretch have now been placed at different points in the campus.
These have been arranged by different faculty members from computer science departments while the horticulture department has taken up the work of refilling the tubs time to time.
