Hyderabad youth shot in the US recovering
Parents have applied for a visa to go to the US to meet their son.
Hyderabad: The parents of Mubeen Ahmed, a 26-year-old youth from Hyderabad, who was shot in California four days ago, have applied for a visa to go to the US to meet their son, who they said was recovering but still unconscious.
Mubeen’s father Mujeeb Ahmed, a technician working for MES, said that he and his wife Fathima and brother-in-law Aslam Sultan have applied for visas. He added that right from the time of studying engineering, Mubeen had dreams of pursuing a masters in the US and return to India. On Wednesday they received a message from a hospital where Mujeeb was admitted after the attack. Mujeeb who was working part time at a store was on duty on June 4. Two persons entered the store and picked up an argument with Mujeeb, after which they shot twice at Mujeeb. The bullets injured Mujeeb’s liver. “My relatives are taking care of him. His friends are giving us updates. He is improving,” he said.
Meanwhile, he appealed to the TS government to speed up his visa process. Mubeen is the only son of Mujeeb. He went to the US in 2015 after completing engineering. Mujeeb, who belongs to Sangareddy district, came to Hyderabad along with his family, and is staying in the Masab Tank area.
