Telangana to Experience Hot Weather for 3-4 days

Hyderabad: With the southwest monsoon making its way to Telangana after its onset in Kerala on Thursday, Telangana will continue to experience a heat wave for another 3-4 days before the rains arrive in approximately one week.

In the city, Sarnoogar was the hottest at 41.4ºC. Karimnagar district recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state on Friday at 46.5ºC, followed by Komaram Bheem and Bhadradri districts at 45.7ºC, and Jangaon and Jayashankar Bhupalpally at 45.2 ºC.

Ahead of the monsoon, a cyclonic circulation over south Chhattisgarh will bring light to moderate rains or thundershowers at isolated places over five days. Additionally, the prevailing low-level North Westerlies will increase humidity levels.

Severe heat wave conditions were reported in four mandals of Bhadradri Kothagudem, two mandals of Khammam, as well as in Adilabad, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Karimnagar, Komaram Bheem, Mahbubabad, Nalgonda, Peddapalli, Siddipet, Suryapet and Warangal districts, as per the TS Development and Planning Society report.

The IMD has issued a warning for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and winds of 40 kmph at Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy, Medak, Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.

Isolated places in Adilabad, Khammam, Komaram Bheem, Mancheral, Nirmal, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Nalgonda and Suryapet districts are expected to experience heat wave conditions.

The city will likely experience light to moderate rains in the evening or at night, with temperatures reaching around 40 degrees Celsius and humidity levels rising to 62 per cent.
