Chandrababu Naidu to visit Anantapur to build cadre confidence
Naidu is scheduled to tour Anantapur district for two days on Tuesday and Wednesday.
ANANTAPUR: In the wake of a series of attacks on party cadre, Telugu Desam High Command wants to build confidence among party cadre in the state. Further, due to a jolt received from leaders of various levels who have been leaving the party and joining the BJP, TD supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu has taken initiative to prepare the party cadre against the attacks by the ruling YSRC cadre.
Mr Naidu is scheduled to tour Anantapur district for two days on Tuesday and Wednesday. Party sources said that the TD supremo will arrive at Kadapa airport, through a special aircraft, and arrive at Tadipathri on Tuesday. He will visit Veerapuram Village in Tadipathri mandal where a TD leader was beaten to death on the day of polling.
After a meeting to be held with the family members of the party leader at Veerapuram, Mr Naidu will meet the party cadre over the present situation. Later, he will reach Patyapuram village in Bathalappali mandal of Dharmavaram Assembly segment by road.
In Patyapuram, a TD worker was killed recently during clashes between YSRC and TD cadre.
As already TD district unit general secretary G. Suryanarayana, former MLA from Dharmavaram Assembly segment had quit party and joined BJP, the party has been facing leadership crisis in Dharmavaram area in the district. Suryanarayana had differences of opinion with former minister Paritala Sunitha and her son Paritala Sriram and never entertained the family in Dharamvaram politics. The party district leaders sought development of new leadership from Dharmavaram whe-re the party has strong cadre at every village, including urban area.
Party district president B.K. Parthasarathi said that Mr Naidu will finalise the in-charge for Dharmavaram segment. Sources said the party leaders proposed Paritala family members to be in-charge for the party in Dharmavaram.
While speculation is rife over several top leaders leaving the party from the district, Mr Naidu would speak to such leaders and urge them not to leave the party.
