Hyderabad: 3,000 saplings planted in Dell green drive
About 350 software employees and zoo staff participated in the plantation programme.
Hyderabad: A mega tree plantation programme took place on Monday where in around 3,000 fruit and flower bearing plants were planted at different locations in Nehru Zoological Park by Dell employees as part of their company’s green initiative.
About 350 software employees and zoo staff participated in the plantation programme and planted the saplings of jamun, guava, mango, pomegranate, sapota, papaya, tikoma, neem and peepal and etc.
Speaking on the occasion IFS, curator, Nehru Zoological Park, N. Kshitija, appreciated the initiative of Dell company in coming forward with a mega plantation programme in the zoo and hoped that the initiative will inspire many others to create more awareness about the need to conserve the biodiversity and wished that more corporate join the drive.
