Meet on govt help to flood hit in Kozhikode

The parliament members, legislative members and block and village panchayat members of the district would participate in the programme.

Kozhikode: A public meet will be organised in connection with creating awareness among the public over the efforts initiated by the state government to ensure care for the victims of the deluge last year.

The programme will be held on July 20 at Thamarassery. Named 'Athijeevanam', the programme would be helmed by ministers T.P. Ramakrishnan and A.K. Saseendran. The parliament members, legislative members and block and village panchayat members of the district would participate in the programme.    

District collector Seeram Sambasiva Rao would present the series of programmes implemented by the state government for the welfare of victims in the post deluge period. The keys of the houses constructed for the victims would also be handed over.
