Telangana: Cash, girls, guns found in dens of gangster Nayeemuddin
Police said there were instances of Nayeemuddin using children, women as human shields when cops came calling on him.
Hyderabad: Police raids on multiple hideouts of Nayeemuddin in the state on Monday yielded crores of rupees, a set of girls suspected to have been used either as human shields or for trafficking, two AK-47 rifles and a huge cache of explosives and firearms.
Also seized were land documents worth hundreds of crores in raids conducted in the aftermath of his liquidation in a police encounter.

Several associates of Nayeem nabbed
Several operatives of Nayeemuddin were arrested in Nalgonda and Cyberabad. Cyberabad West police commissioner V. Naveen Chand said a search was continuing at Nayeemuddin’s den in Alkapuri. Police suspects Nayeem was also involved in trafficking of girls for sex rackets.

“Four girls were found in the hideout at Puppalguda. He was apparently keeping them as ‘human shields’ in the event of the raids by the police. We are also trying ascertain whether he was involved in sex trafficking. 11 women and kids, including children of Nayeemuddin, were found in his dens,” he said.
Police said there were instances in the past of Nayeemuddin using children and women as human shields when cops or rival gangs came calling on him. One of the girls told the police that she was the wife of Nayeemuddin’s driver. Cops said explosive substances like ammonium nitrate and detonators were seized. Bomb disposal teams were pressed into service immediately.

Police also brought in currency counting machines from the ACB to count the cash seized. Around Rs 2.8 crore was counted in the first lot, while the counting was progressing at Puppalguda. Cash was also seized from the dens in Nalgonda district. At Pupplguda den, weapons were seized. They included four pistols, a revolver, 138 bullets and 200 phones. Some porn CDs were also found.
Nayeemuddin’s relative Farhana has been taken into custody. Three kids, two of them boys of Nayeemuddin, studying the Scholars International School at Alkapuri, have also been taken away by cops.

Nalgonda SP N. Prakash Reddy said, “We raided the dens in Miryalaguda, Nalgonda and Bhongir, and seized a lot of explosives, arms, property documents and cash. We are registering separate cases. We are asking the public to approach us if they have any complaints against the gang. Whoever were victimised through forcible grabbing of properties and extortion can approach us. We are also making more arrests.”
