No time frame can be fixed to catch killers: Karnataka CM

Siddaramaiah said SIT Investigation begun on Thursday and it is still in the preliminary stage and details can't be divulged.â€

Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who had recently assured the family of Gauri Lankesh bringing her killers to book at the earliest, said on Friday that no time frame can be fixed.

He told reporters in Mandya, “We cannot fix a time frame of one week or two weeks for investigations and court proceedings. However, we have given clear directions to the police to consider the issue seriously and investigate honestly.”

He said SIT Investigation begun on Thursday and it is still in the preliminary stage and details can’t be divulged.”

When queried about handing over case to CBI, he said, “I know Gauri’s family members very well right from the days of their father P. Lankesh. I will talk to them. If they want investigation by CBI, we are ready to hand over the case to them.”
