Chemists call for national bandh from September 28

Hyderabad: Chemists and druggist have have decided to go on a nationwide bandh from September 28 to protest online sale of medicines and e-pharmacies. Staff at medical shops will wear black badges from September 20 to September 27 as a mark of protest.

The chemists and druggist said said they were strongly opposed to the consideration being given by the Union health ministry for online sale of medicines and for e-pharmacies, as it would flood the market with non-prescribed and spurious drugs.
