Response App catches PM Modi eye
Software instantly finds out the location from the accident site and on real-time basis.
New Delhi: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi often urging bureaucrats to come up new ideas, recently an innovative concept from a young bureaucrat left him impressed. During his interaction with the 2015 batch IAS officers, a presentation on rapid response for accident victims by one of the officers caught his attention.
According sources, during this particular meeting, out of the eight presentations shortlisted to be shown to Mr Modi, the one on the aforementioned topic interested him. This officer who prepared the presentation, in collaboration with Google, is learnt to have prepared a software which instantly finds out the location from the accident site and on real-time basis, sends out an SMS informing about the actual time the nearest ambulance will take to reach the spot.
