Kishan flags off trains with extended connectivity

 Hyderabad: Union minister G. Kishan Reddy on Monday flagged off four train services from Secunderabad railway station that will provide additional travel facility to the farthest destinations.

People from Kazipet will have a direct night travel facility to Pune, while those from Shadnagar, Mahabubnagar, Gadwal and Kurnool can do so towards Jaipur. People from Sedam, Chittapur, Yadgir and Raichur will now be able to travel to Nanded directly and those from Bodhan can have direct train services to Karimnagar.

Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said that the four new services fulfill long-pending demands of the people and facilitate direct travel to various destinations without the need to change trains.”

He said “the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated several measures to improve rail connectivity within Telangana and with regions across the nation.”

He said “the Cherlapalli railway terminal works are going ahead at a fast pace and will likely be completed by January.”

Meanwhile, simultaneous functions were held at Kacheguda, Bodhan and Tandur railway stations. At Kacheguda station, it was done by MLC A.V.N. Reddy, while information minister Dr. Patnam Mahender Reddy and municipal chairperson Swapna, were present at Tandur railway station while local municipal chairperson Padma did so at Bodhan railway station.
