Kerala government sanction Rs 10 lakh to Satnam Singh family
Cabinet decided to recommend K K Dineshan's name to Governor for appointment as local bodies ombudsman.
Thiruvananthapuram: Cabinet on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 10 lakh compensation for the family of Satnam Singh who died after being tortured at the mental health centre here on August 4, 2012.
The investigations into the incident found that Satnam Singh succumbed to injuries following the brutal assault by assault other inmates of the mental health centre. The compensation is being granted in compliance with the trial court directive. The case is currently being in court.
