Hyderabad: McDonald's leaves a family with raw taste
Food chain serves mother, daughter uncooked chicken.
Hyderabad: The public is playing a proactive role and exposing sales of adulterated food on social media. After Karachi Bakery’s spoilt chocolates came to light, another video from McDonald’s Kharkhana branch has gone viral, where a mother and daughter were served raw meat in a burger. The frustrated diner posted a picture of it online on Wednesday.
The diner said in the video, “While we were eating, it was noticed that the food did not taste normal and I tried looking into the patty and I was disgusted to see that the chicken was uncooked and it’s raw. Thank God my daughter did not eat it completely.”
Raw chicken can contain bacteria and cause stomach ache. The video tagged officials from the GHMC, though the Kharkhana area falls under the Secunderabad Cantonment Board and not the GHMC.
There are no sanctioned food inspectors for the Cantonment currently; sanitation inspectors, who had training in food inspection, attend to complaints from the public.
The Secunderabad Cantonment Board, Health Superintendent Afzal Mohiuddin said that it has not come to his notice but officers will be sent for food inspection and action will be taken as soon as possible. The McDonald’s at Kharkhana was unavailable for comment.
