Expedite land identification for journalists housing programme: CM Jagan to officials
Vijayawada: Telugu actor and electronic media adviser to the state government, Mohammad Ali, has urged journalists to take advantage of Three Cents house site scheme announced for them by the state government.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Ali said that media personnel raised a plea for house sites and he took this to the notice of the chief minister. “The CM, with a generous heart, gave his consent.”
He said that the proposal was placed at the cabinet meeting and its approved obtained.
In a separate programme, representatives of journalist unions and senior journalists called on chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Camp Office here and thanked him for the fovernment’s decision.
Recalling that former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy had allotted house sites to journalists in the undivided AP, they told the chief minister that all those journalists who got house sites then were happy now.
They told the CM that journalists are getting government house sites after two decades.
The chief minister directed the officials to expedite land identification for the purpose under a special action plan and periodically update him on this matter.
