BJP burns Mani Shankar Aiyar's effigy in Guntur

The BJP leaders and activists, led by BJP OBC Morcha, staged a protest at Sankar Vilas centre at Guntur and burnt the effigy.

GUNTUR: BJP leaders and activists staged a dharna and burned the effigy of Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, protesting against his remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The leaders alleged that Mr Aiyar insulted the Indian Constitution by calling Mr Modi, “neech” person who is the Prime Minster and represents crores of Indians. The BJP leaders and activists, led by BJP OBC Morcha, staged a protest at Sankar Vilas centre at Guntur and burnt the effigy.

BJP OBC Morcha state secretary P. Ravi Kumar claimed that several countries honour Mr Modi for his services and flawless administration but Mr Aiyar insulted him with his remarks which hurt Indians. BJP Guntur urban president A. Anjaneyulu condemned the statement of Mr Aiyar and alleged that only persons with dynastic attitude would make such remarks.

BJP OBC Morcha city president K. Saidulu and other leaders addressed the gatherings. The BJP leaders and activists burnt the effigy of Mr Aiyar airing slogans against his statement.
