Hyderabad: Mobiles worth Rs 30 lakh stolen
The five men came in a car wearing masks and broke open the locks of the mobile shops at midnight on Friday.
Hydreabad: Five masked men broke into three mobile shops in Shamshabad area late on Friday night and decamped with Rs 30 lakh worth of mobiles and gadgets.
A case was booked with the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) police and a probe is on.
According to RGIA police inspector, A. Gangadhar, “The five men came in a car wearing masks and broke open the locks of the three mobile shops around Friday midnight.
“The offenders were caught in the CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity and based on a complaint from Sudhakar, the owner of one of the shops, a case was booked under Section 457 (lurking house-trespass or house-breaking by night in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment) and 380 (Theft in dwelling house) of IPC and an investigation was started,” said the official.
He added that the police has asked the mobile shop owners to produce an estimated bill of the stolen items.
