34th Vijayawada Book Festival from Dec. 28
Government Polytechnic College Grounds to Host the Annual Literary Extravaganza, Featuring Eminent Guests and Book Launches
Vijayawada: The 34th Vijayawada Book Festival will be held from December 28 to January 7 at the Government Polytechnic College Grounds in Vijayawada.
Addressing media on Friday, Vijayawada Book Festival Society (VBFS) president T. Manohar Naidu said Andhra Pradesh Governor Justice S. Abdul Nazeer and education minister Botsa Satyanarayana are likely to be the chief guests at the inauguration ceremony on December 28 at 6 p.m. VBFS honorary president Bellapu Babji said a Telugu book Bhaaratha Desa Janabha Samasyalu (India's Population Problems) will be launched on December 30.
Retired Chief Election Commission S.Y. Qureshi will participate in this meeting. Late Kalipatnam Rama Rao Satjayanti Sabha will be held on December 31 at 6 p.m. Vadrevu Chinaveerabhadrudu, V.V.N. Murthy and Attada Appalanaidu will be the guests at this meeting. VBFS secretary Lakshmaiah said arrangements are being made to organise a Book Lovers' Walk from Siddhartha College to Book Festival grounds at 4 p.m. on January 1.
Late Sanjiv Dev Satajayanti Sabha will be held on January 2 at 6 p.m. Retired IAS officer Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar and Durga Prasad of Rajachandra Foundation will participate in this meeting. On January 6, Chaganti Koteswara Rao's Mahabharata Pravachanalu will be inaugurated in which Justice D.V.S.S. Somayajulu and Justice Krishna Mohan will participate.
Emesco Publications founder D. Vijay Kumar said the grand closing meeting will be on January 7 in which Technical Education commissioner C. Nagarani, NTR district collector S. Dilli Rao, and VNC commissioner Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar will participate.
