Nellore: The three-day Flamingo Festival concluded on Tuesday and the highlight of the event was cultural programmes by TV and film artistes and music directors, including Koti and Taman. Playback singers Hemachandra and Sravana Bhargavi, mimicry artist Siva Reddy and TV anchors Hari Teja, Syamala and Srimukhi, Adhire Abhi, Rachha Ravi and RP entertained the gathering at Junior College grounds, the venue for the festival, at Sullurpeta.

A sizeable number of people were seen at Nelapattu, Pulicat bird sanctuaries  and BV Palem. People thronged for boat rides. The only leader seen at the venue was MLC Vakati Narayana Reddy and other TD leaders were conspicuous by their absence  because of issues related to festival committee. Sullurpeta legislator Kiliveti Sanjeevaiah and former legislator Parasa Rathnam were present but did not take active part.
