Hyderabad: The double-bedroom scheme in Old Marredpally has gained momentum with construction works starting for one hundred flats. Excavations have already commenced for four blocks which will be house 24 flats each.

Combined families will get the benefit depending on the land contributed to the flagship scheme of the TRS government.
Nearly 350 families vacated their old houses to demolish them. However, ten families went to the court and are yet to vacate. Their contention is that the government did not serve them any notice. Following the court’s directions, revenue officials served them land encroachment notices.
“Fifteen days time would be given for them to show the proof of ownership or else they have to vacate,” RDO K.Chandrakala said.
