NIA seeks details on Jagan case
The NIA stated that the records were in 7 MM court at Visakhapatnam and requested the court to provide those records for an investigation.
Vijayawada: NIA has filed requisition petitions in the Metropolitan court in Vijayawada, seeking to hand over the records of attack on YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The NIA stated that the records were in 7 MM court at Visakhapatnam and requested the court to provide those records for an investigation. One J. Srinivasa Rao carried the attack on Jagan at Visakhapatnam airport on October 25 and Jagan received an injury on his hand. The AP Police and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu claimed that the accused belongs to YSRC and he carried out the attack to give publicity to Jagan. Angry over the claims of Mr Naidu and police, YSRC refuted those allegations and filed a petition in the High Court that handed over the probe to the NIA.
The NIA, after starting the probe, asked Visakhapatnam police to give the records of Jagan attack case but the police denied to hand over the records. The case details are important for the investigation. Hence, the NIA officials filed a requisition seeking to hand over the records from 7 MM court of Visakhapatnam. The Metropolitan court directed the Visakhapatnam court to transfer the case to Vijayawada Court and soon, the details of the Jagan attack case would be handed over to the NIA.
