Rs 276 crore settled under Rythu Bheema
Parthasarathi said that they have requested the LIC officials to settle the balance claims immediately.
Hyderabad: Under Rythu Bheema scheme 5,525 claims regarding deaths were settled and Rs 276.25 crore was deposited in the accounts of the nominees.
Agriculture department principal secretary Parthasarathi on Wednesday held a meeting with department officials and Life Insurance Corporation officials and reviewed the status of claims settlement under Rythu Bheema Scheme. Parthasarathi said as against 5,821 deaths registered 5,525 deaths claims were settled and an amount of '276.25 crore was deposited in the nominees’ accounts at the rate of '5 lakh per nominee.
He said that they have requested the LIC officials to settle the balance claims immediately.
He has directed the department officials to coordinate with district nodal officers especially in the cases which have been returned by the LIC due to extra requirements and submit them immediately with respect to minor errors in uploading of data in Management Information system. He said with respect of rejections because of bank issues pertaining to nominee account status it was proposed to hold a meeting with bankers shortly.
He said that it was also proposed to obtain new pattadars data from CCLA and enable in MIS so that the new Pattadars can enrol under Rythu Bheema as lateral entries.
