Several IPS officers to be transferred in Andhra Pradesh
At least 15 senior cadre IPS officers, including IGs and DIGs, will be transferred.
Hyderabad: At least 15 senior cadre IPS officers, including IGs and DIGs, will be transferred in Andhra Pradesh in a day or two. The file has gone to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his approval, which is expected on his return to Vijayawada from Delhi.
According to sources, the government has to transfer seven IGs and four DIGs as they have been promoted. The 1998-batch IPS officers Mahesh Chandra Ladha, B. Srinivasulu, E. Damodar, A. Sundara Kumar Das, T. Yoganand, K. Venkateswar Rao and A. Ravichandra were promoted as Inspector Generals from DIGs.
The 2002- batch IPS officers J. Satyanarayana, J. Prabhakar Rao, A.S. Khan and Ch. Srikanth have been promoted as DIGs. After promotion, transfer follows. Meanwhile, IPS officers (SP cadre) Vishal Gunni, Rahul Dec Sharma and Ch. Vijaya Rao are awaiting posting. Along with the IPS officers, CM Naidu plans to transfer some IAS officers too. Four are waiting for postings and there are some vacancies in important departments like Industries. Senior cadre IAS officers should be appointed in these posts.
